The Alberta Beekeepers Commission (ABC) invites all Eligible Producers to join us for the 2026 ABC Annual General Meeting (AGM) that is taking  place on November 16, 2026, at the Fantasyland Hotel, Edmonton. This is an opportunity to connect with fellow producers, hear updates on key industry issues, reflect on the progress and outcomes achieved over the past 12 months across ABC’s major initiatives, and look ahead to the future with the launch of the new ABC Strategic Plan. Participate in important discussions, share your perspective, and ensure your voice is part of the conversations shaping Alberta’s beekeeping industry.

ABC Board of Director Nominations

Help Lead Alberta’s Beekeeping Industry

The Alberta Beekeepers Commission is seeking FIVE dedicated producers to join the 2026/2027 ABC Board of Directors.

The ABC Board is made up of nine directors as outlined in the ABC Plan Regulation, including:

  • 4 Regional Directors (one representing each region)
  • 5 Directors at Large

Positions Open for Nomination

  • 2 Director-at-Large
  • 1 Regional Director – North West Region
  • 1 Regional Director – Peace Region
  • 1 CHC Delegate

If you’re passionate about supporting a strong, healthy, economically sustainable beekeeping industry in Alberta, this is your opportunity to get involved and make an impact.

What Does an ABC Director Do?

Board members help provide leadership and direction for Alberta’s beekeeping sector by participating in:

  • Regular board meetings (8–10 annually)
  • Strategic Planning and Governance
  • Board committees and working groups
  • Industry advocacy and organizational initiatives

Whether you nominate yourself or another producer, your participation helps strengthen the future of the industry.

Nominations from the Floor

As outlined in the Alberta Beekeepers Commission Bylaws, nominations may also be made from the floor during the 2026 AGM provided that:

  • The nomination is seconded by at least five eligible producers present at the meeting; and
  • The nominee provides verbal consent to stand for election.

Producer Resolutions

Bring Forward the Issues That Matter Most

ABC encourages producers to actively participate in shaping industry priorities by submitting resolutions for consideration at the AGM. Before submitting, please review the updated ABC Resolution Policy, which outlines the requirements and submission guidelines.

Resolution Deadline:
All completed resolutions must be received by Friday, November 6, 2026 (10 days prior to the AGM).
