Honey Oatmeal Cookies

 1 cup Liquid Honey
 ½ cup Shortening
 1 Egg, Beaten
 1 ½ cups Sifted Flour
 ½ tsp Baking Soda
 ½ tsp Salt
 1 ⅔ cups Rolled Oats
 4 tbsp Sour Milk or Buttermilk
 1 cup Raisins

In a large bowl, cream together honey and shortening. Beat in egg until smooth. Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt.

Mix with rolled oats. Add dry ingredients alternately with sour milk to creamed mixture. Mix well and stir in raisins.

Drop by spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius) for 12-15 minutes. Makes 2 dozen cookies.
