Choice of Eligible Producers to Direct That Portion of Their Levy Paid to Alberta Beekeepers Commission to the National Organization of Their Choosing

STATUS: DEFEATED

RATIONALE / PURPOSE FOR RESOLUTION:

• Whereas…. Alberta Beekeepers Commission (ABC) currently pays $0.16 of the $1.35 levy collected per colony to Canadian Honey Council (CHC).
• Whereas…. A number of ABC’s eligible producers have requested to have the option to direct ABC which national organization, CHC or Canadian Beekeepers Federation (CBF) they would like to receive the $0.16 of the $1.35 paid to the Commission

BE IT RESOLVED THAT:

The Alberta Beekeepers board develop a policy in regard to eligible producers directing which national organization, CHC or CBF, receive the $0.16 portion of the $1.35 levy.
