SWAN APIARIES are seeking workers for the 2024 season, March - October 2024, 15 Apiary Labourers (NOC 8431) and 2 Apiary Technicians (NOC 8253) in the Westlock area.
Applicants for Apiary Labourers (NOC 8431) must have a minimum 1 year (season) working fulltime on a Canadian style commercial apiary operation as an Apiary Labourer. The position is full time (40+ hrs/week) from beginning of March to mid October. Major duties involve all aspects of bee colony operations under the supervision of an Apiary Technician. The rate of pay is $16.54 - $17.10/hr (depending on experience) for apiary labourer.
Applicants for Apiary Technicians (NOC 8253) must have a minimum of 3 years experience on a Canadian style commercial apiary ($18.30/hr depending on experience). The position is full time (40+ hrs/week) from beginning of March to mid October. Major duties involve all aspects of bee colony operations with the assistance of the Apiary Labourers. The ability to operate and maintain equipment utilized in the beekeeping industry and keep accurate records for monitoring hive health is essential to the position. The positions are full time and may require evening and weekend work(45hrs+/wk) .
